Happy Alonso

Happy Alonso?

The new Renault F1  was launched today and they’ve done a fantastic job and met all the requirements for creating one of the worst livery designs of the last decade in F1.  Even star driver Fernando Alonso couldn’t mask his disappointment.

If Renault really do want to keep Alonso from jumping ship they’re not doing a very good job.  The 2009 Ferrari looks much better and my money is on Fernando thinking the same.

Its a racing machine not a bloody touring sedan.

  • and your point John? F1 Cars should look stunning, they’re the pinnacle of motorsport and a branding tool for the owners. Renault are renowned for their good looking road cars and daring designs, we’re just dumbfounded that this livery design got approved!

I don’t really see what’s so bad with the Renault livery. It’s one big advert for ING but then that’s the point isn’t it? What else were they meant to do with an Orange lion?

Classic caption on the photo though, that made me laugh out loud!
