We will be on the grid, even without an engine...

According to the nationals here in blighty the Honda team is saved due to the Japanese chaps at Honda HQ agreeing to a management buy out.  Much like the USF1 time-wasting announcement we are all still in the dark until Honda make an official announcement but it’s looking like Ross Brawn will head up the buy out and Jenson will be in one of the cars. Nick Fry’s invlovement is still unclear as is the mystery second driver.  It could be Ayrton Senna’s nephew Bruno, or Barrichello could hang in there for another season, or someone completely different…

It’s all seems rather drawn out with this being a news story since December last year, ever since the Japanese owned team shocked F1 fans and the media with their announcement to pull out of F1 due to the ‘credit crunch’ malarkey.  After many stories of mystery bidders, some not so mystery bidders – (Good marketing effort Branson) the management buy out announcement and confirmation of details must be imminent.

According to Autosport the team is now ready to test their 2009 car so we wait with baited breath to see the car on track, 99% likely with Mercedes power.

Ahhhh….and the female F1 fans breathe a sigh of relief that the delectable Jenson Button will be rocking the grid next season in his oh so fabulous sunnies….F1 just wouldn’t be the same without his designer stubble.
