So, apparently Jenson Button was in Woking today, yes, that Woking, the one with the McLaren headquarters nestled comfortably away in its landscape. According to a team spokesperson the World Champion Briton ‘made a small detour to Woking to say hello,’ which was… nice of him. Only the cynics amongst you would even think that this has anything to do with the sticky contract negotiations that Jense has been experiencing with his championship-winning squad. Cynics.

Raikkonen, who was also visiting the factory at the same time was said to be rather perturbed by spending most of the day locked in Martin Whitmarsh’s office after Button’s sudden arrival. In a statement released yesterday, team principal Whitmarsh said “we just wanted to avoid making things uncomfortable for our guest.”

He’s not going to McLaren. Neither’s Kimi (sadly).
It’ll either be Kovalainen or Heidfeld.
It will be Heidfeld, take a look at the last news. After Whitmarsh, now it’s Haugh who spends beautiful words for the German driver.
