Here’s yet another car launch ladies and gentlemen – the new Force India F1 car, launched successfully online this morning.  The livery is largely the same as before with some obvious changes to the shape – in line with the cars we’ve seen already.

Hopefully Vijay Mallya’s team will continue to show the promise they did towards the end of 2009 and get this great looking car to the finishing line up there with the front runners.

Doesn’t Vijay Mallya own Kingfisher? So he sponsors himself?

    • Yep, just like Dietrich Mateschitz does with Red Bull and Toro Rosso. If you pay that much money for an F1 team you may as well make the most of the marketing potential.

Aye indeed – “Fly Kingfisher” is his airline and “Kingfisher” is also his beer too. Branson’s doing the same for his massive Virgin brand too.

I like it – and I also like the fact that Mallya’s empire is named after a bird – it silences those who doubt the name of this website!!

  • Unlike Mateschitz, Mallya hasnt exactly gone down the family friendly soft drink route…

Haha indeed – just how much booze related sponsorship do they have on this car!! (I don’t actually need to know the answer Dave H – it’s a lot!)

Mind you, I wonder if the high quality alcohol endorsed on Mallya’s motors is actually any worse for you than the Red Bull rubbish on Mateschitz’s wheels??!!

  • I rather like Red Bull, though Lemonade’s better for mixing with Vodka.
Incidently if a team ever gets Smirnoff sponsorship, i will automatically support them regardless of who they are.

I’d love to see a team sponsored by Guinness.

Team Guinness, yeah that has a nice ring to it….. Well I think so anyway. :P
